By creating an account or using the Slycup MDM platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account and enter into these Terms. The Service itself is used to manage devices that may belong to or be used by minors (for example, a parent managing a child's phone) — that use case is addressed in "Acceptable Use" below, and does not change the age requirement for the account holder.
Slycup MDM is a cloud-hosted Mobile Device Management platform that allows authorized administrators to enroll, monitor, and manage Android devices. Features include remote policy enforcement, app control, DNS filtering, VPN management, screen-time scheduling, geofencing, and app distribution through our own catalog or Google Play.
The Service is provided on a subscription basis, billed monthly, quarterly, or annually as selected at enrollment. Subscription plans, pricing, and any active promotional codes are displayed in the portal at the time of purchase. Device administrators may also transfer an existing subscription and configuration to a replacement device.
You are responsible for:
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. Accounts are non-transferable. Some accounts are created and administered by a reseller on your behalf — see "Resellers and Multi-Tenant Accounts" below.
You agree not to use the Service to:
A device enrolled in the Service is very often used by someone other than the account holder — an employee issued a work phone, a family member, or a minor child. The account holder, not Slycup MDM, is solely responsible for obtaining any consent, notice, or authorization required in their jurisdiction before enrolling or monitoring a device used by another person, and for complying with any applicable workplace-monitoring, parental-consent, or anti-stalkerware laws. Slycup MDM does not verify that such consent has been obtained.
The Service must not be used to covertly monitor a spouse, partner, or any other adult without that person's knowledge and consent. Doing so may violate state and federal wiretapping, stalking, and computer-fraud laws, and we will suspend or terminate accounts we believe are being used this way. By design, the device app always shows a visible icon and cannot be configured to hide itself from the device it is installed on, regardless of which other apps it is told to hide.
The Service supports resellers and operators who create and administer accounts on behalf of their own customers. If your account was created by a reseller, that reseller — and any operator accounts under them — can access and manage your account and device data within the scope you were enrolled under. Your relationship with your reseller (billing, support, pricing) is between you and them; Slycup MDM's role is to operate the underlying platform.
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly, quarterly, or annually) as selected at the time of enrollment, and automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless cancelled before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize us to automatically charge your payment method on file for each renewal, using the same amount and interval you selected (or the price of any plan you later change to), until you cancel. Payments are processed securely through our payment provider. New cards may be subject to a bank verification check (3-D Secure) before being stored.
If a payment fails, device access may be restricted until the subscription is renewed. You may cancel a subscription at any time from the portal, with no need to call or email anyone. Cancellation takes effect immediately and no refunds are issued for unused periods. Promotional codes, where applied, are subject to the terms of the specific promotion and may not be combined.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any losses resulting from downtime.
Features such as DNS/content filtering, app blocking, geofencing, and screen-time scheduling are provided on a best-effort basis and cannot guarantee that all inappropriate content will be blocked, that a device's reported location will be accurate or timely, or that a schedule or limit will be enforced without exception (for example, a device that is offline, has been factory-reset, or has had Device Owner status removed will not receive or enforce policy). The Service is not an emergency, life-safety, or crime-prevention service — do not rely on it in a situation where someone's safety is at immediate risk; contact local emergency services instead.
The app store's search and install features can pull apps from Google Play, using either a shared anonymous session or a Google account you choose to link yourself on the Policy tab. This is not a method of accessing Google Play that Google has sanctioned for this kind of use, and it may fall outside Google's own Terms of Service.
If you link your own Google account, you are solely responsible for complying with Google's Terms of Service and Google Play's policies, and for any consequence Google imposes on that account — including suspension or termination — as a result. We do not guarantee that Play-sourced search or installs will keep working, since they depend on access Google could restrict or cut off at any time without notice to us.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.
The Service — including its software, portal, branding, and underlying code — is owned by Slycup MDM or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own device-management purposes while your subscription (or a free account) is active. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell, or create derivative works from the Service except as the law expressly allows notwithstanding this restriction. You retain ownership of any data you submit (such as device names or notes); we need only the rights described in our Privacy Policy to operate the Service on your behalf.
You agree to indemnify and hold Slycup MDM harmless from any claim, loss, or liability (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your failure to obtain any consent or authorization required to enroll or monitor a device used by another person.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Slycup MDM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account by cancelling all subscriptions and contacting us. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Where our systems track your acceptance of a specific version of these Terms, a meaningful update will ask you to review and re-accept before you can continue.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, regardless of where you access or use the Service from.
